    Area Planning

    Dear Sir/Madam

Providing Pathways, Strategic Area Plan, Action Plan for Primary, Post-Primary and Special Schools - April 2019-March 2021 (extended to 2022)

The Education Authority is currently engaged in the process of area planning and published an Annual Action Plan in April 2019. Within this Action Plan, Coleraine College, Dunluce School and North Coast Integrated College were identified as below:
“School managing authorities to develop options for future provision at Coleraine College, Dunluce School and North Coast Integrated College by March 2020”.

The Education Authority is commencing pre-publication consultation on 13 September 2021 on the establishment of a new co-educational, 11-18, non-selective controlled integrated post-primary school for 1,200 pupils.
This pre-publication consultation will run for a period of 8 weeks, closing on 15 November 2021.

The Education Authority, in accordance with Article 14 of the Education and Libraries (Northern Ireland) Order 1986, is obliged to consult with the trustees and managers of any school or schools which would, in the opinion of the Education Authority, be affected by the proposal.
A presentation and consultation documentation outlining the vision and rationale are available from 12.00 noon on Monday 13 September 2021, on the following link:
    https://www.eani.org.uk/school-management/area-planning/pre-publication-consultations.

I would be grateful if you would draw the matter to the attention of the Board of Governors and Trustees of your school and forward any comments they may wish to make via the online response form:
Online Pre-Publication Response Questionnaire - Causeway Area

Responses can also be submitted by email to areaplanning1@eani.org.uk.
